Hester Park’s response after falling two behind was substantial: Wayne Taylor struck in the 29th and 36th minutes, and the match was level before the interval. But Phillip Lewis restored Sker Park’s lead just two minutes into the second half, with Manuel Do Rosário adding the final goal in the 77th. Hester Park’s 14 tackles to Sker Park’s seven underline that the hosts were not short of effort in the contest; Sker Park simply made its attacking moments count with unusual efficiency. The 2-4 result leaves a clear verdict, even if the chance-quality figures suggest Hester Park might reasonably have expected more.
