The 6 - 1 scoreline gives Budbury full credit for a commanding win, though the xG figures make clear that six was more than its chances alone would usually promise. That is a measure of clinical finishing, not a reason to overlook the underlying imbalance: Budbury created far more shots and kept Edgeridge’s attack to four attempts. Edgeridge’s late goal supplied a deserved return for one of those efforts, but it could not alter the shape of the contest.
