Holthwood beat Mirkby-de Villa 4-0 in Division 7 League 34, turning a red card in the second minute into little more than an administrative complication. The scoreline is emphatic, and the shot count explains why: Holthwood put Mirkby-de Villa under pressure repeatedly, while the visitors produced little attacking volume despite matching the hosts in corners and dribbles. The late goals from Filipe Silva and Stuart Pearce turned a two-goal lead into a wider verdict, with Silva also supplying the first-half assists. Holthwood finished four goals ahead despite playing most of the match a player down; Mirkby-de Villa, meanwhile, had the two yellow cards and the ten tackles, but not enough chances to make either useful currency.
