The opening goal arrived after eight minutes, and Faye had added the second before the quarter-hour. By the time Jose Souza made it three at 34 minutes, assisted by Leon Okou, Weston Rangers had established the shape of the afternoon; Faye’s unassisted goal on 45 minutes made the interval score 4-0. The later goals from Koji Okamura, Leon Okou and Faye extended the margin rather than changing the argument. Prutsfor Villa recorded more dribbles and tackles, but neither measure brought a shot on target. At 7-0, the final score matched the difference in threat while also showing just how thoroughly Weston Rangers capitalised on it.
