The match was punctuated by a series of tactical battles and moments of individual brilliance. Ryeshamswicast's goal in the 26th minute from Nilson Pires, assisted by Seungwoo Jeong, was a textbook example of exploiting space and taking chances. Petters Town responded just before halftime through Pedro Chagas, who scored after a well-placed pass from Allan Carroll. The second half saw Ryeshamswicast pressing high and creating more chances, culminating in Jeong's decisive goal in the 78th minute. Despite Petters Town's efforts to push for an equalizer, the visitors' defensive resilience and goalkeeping kept them ahead until the final whistle. The game was also notable for a couple of yellow cards, with Pedro Chagas receiving one for each side, reflecting the competitive tension.
Expected Goals (xG) figures of 0.64 for Petters Town and 1.34 for Ryeshamswicast suggest the visitors' victory was statistically justified, as they created higher-quality chances and converted more of them. Petters Town's modest xG indicates they were somewhat wasteful in attack, with only a few opportunities that didn't quite threaten the goal. Ryeshamswicast's over-performance relative to their xG underscores their efficiency in front of goal, turning half of their shots on target into goals. Tactically, Ryeshamswicast's ability to generate more shots and corners, coupled with their solid tackling and passing accuracy, gave them the edge in a game that was tight in possession but decisive in finishing.
Unrated players - No other players reached the 7.0+ threshold, but the collective effort was evident.
