Hudling Rangers 0 - 7 Bursidge

Bursidge beat Hudling Rangers 7-0 in Division 5 League 14, turning a match in which the hosts had more possession into a one-sided procession of chances and goals. Seven goals from 19 shots is already a substantial afternoon; the 15 efforts on target made it clear the scoreboard was not doing all the work.

For Bursidge, the spread of goals and contributions from its leading performers made this more than a single-player show, even with Sylvain Morris at the centre of it. Hudling Rangers kept the ball more often and won the corners 4-3, but neither measure altered the essential imbalance: the hosts did not register a shot on target, while the visitors tested the goal 15 times. A 7-0 scoreline is emphatic by any ordinary accounting, and here the underlying shot figures leave little room for a more delicate interpretation.
