Desburbing: No standout performers rated 7.0 or higher.

Otley Forest:

• Giovanni Melis (7.5) - Provided all three assists, each setting up a goal for a different-looking stretch of Otley Forest’s attack only in the sense that the scorer changed.
• Franck Lambert (7.3) - Scored twice and added a yellow card to an otherwise productive afternoon.
• Kone Soumahoro (7.3) - Scored twice, both times assisted by Giovanni Melis, and was booked in the 90th minute.

The scoreline was settled early enough to shape the afternoon, but Otley Forest kept adding to it: Kone Soumahoro made it 3-0 in the 52nd minute, then scored again 13 minutes later, before Franck Lambert completed the five-goal tally. Desburbing’s 12 tackles and 11 dribbles show the hosts were not absent from the contest’s physical or individual work; the trouble was that those efforts did not translate into a goal, while Otley Forest’s 10 shots on target gave its attack repeated opportunities to make the difference visible. The visitors also committed more fouls, 16 to nine, and took three yellow cards to Desburbing’s two. It was not a contest of overwhelming possession, then, but of a decisive difference in attacking output: the 0-5 result stands alongside a five-to-zero goal count and a 3.04-to-0.96 xG advantage for Otley Forest.
