The turning point was less a single moment than a change in what the score demanded. After Lindomar Da Silva made it 2-0 in the 34th minute, Ley Sal County had the advantage of a two-goal lead, while Adlinsforth still had the volume of chances to make the afternoon uncomfortable. Ian Berry reduced the deficit in the 79th minute, and Sungchul Chai completed the recovery seven minutes later, both goals assisted by Octavio Gonzalez. Chai had been booked in the 14th minute, making his equaliser a notably useful contribution to an eventful personal ledger. Adlinsforth finished with two yellow cards, but neither card interrupted the late momentum.

The 2-2 result is a fair accounting of the goals, if not a perfect mirror of the chances: Ley Sal County were clinical enough to reach two first, while Adlinsforth kept pressing until their stronger attacking numbers finally showed on the scoreboard. The hosts had the possession edge and more corners; the visitors had more shots and the higher xG. Neither side found a way to turn those differing advantages into a winning margin, and the match ended with the points divided and the late comeback doing the most memorable work.
