For a spell after Rossi’s second goal, Oldeborth had the advantage and the match seemed to be turning its way. Oaksowes answered through Gerson Mendes, then found the winner when William Schultz finished after Eric Moreau’s assist. The late sequence made the visitors’ greater accuracy in front of goal more than a statistical footnote: they had to recover from behind, and did so with two goals in the final 20 minutes.

The early cards gave the match a briskly argumentative opening, with four cautions in the first 12 minutes. The discipline count finished 2-4, but neither side received a red card, and the game’s defining exchanges came from the goals rather than the bookings. Oldeborth can point to a competitive shot count and a productive spell from Rossi; Oaksowes leave with the win because they converted more often, including when the lead had changed hands. The final score was Oldeborth 2 - 3 Oaksowes: close enough to keep the contest alive, and clear enough to send the points with the visitors.
