For Rottle United, two shots and 49% possession offered little foothold in a match increasingly governed by the visitors’ finishing. The nine goals were spread across the opening stages, the late first half and the final stretch, so the contest never settled into a single brief burst of damage. Raste City scored three by the 25th minute, added two more before the break, then continued after half-time; the 90th-minute goal made the final margin nine. Five yellow cards for the visitors show that this was not an entirely serene afternoon, but their attack remained the defining feature. On the evidence of the score, Rottle United had no answer.
