Strer Rangers 2 - 4 Tentere

Strer Rangers lost 2-4 to Tentere after turning a first-half lead into a second-half deficit, then finding a reply before the visitors restored their two-goal advantage. The sides produced almost identical xG and shot totals; the difference was that Tentere put four goals on the board, a useful reminder that chance quality and the final score are close acquaintances, not twins.

For Strer Rangers, the scoreline was a harsh return from a performance that matched Tentere for shots on target and nearly matched them in xG. But a 2-4 defeat cannot be filed under bad luck alone: the visitors finished at a rate the chance estimate did not predict, and their burst of goals after the interval changed the contest before the hosts could make their own pressure count. Tentere leave with the points and the more decisive finishing; Strer Rangers leave with evidence that the chances were there, though evidence is not generally accepted as a substitute for goals.
