For Top Annyme City, the match never recovered from the two goals conceded before the fifth minute. The side still recorded 47% possession and completed 82% of its passes, but without a shot those figures describe control of the ball more than control of the contest. Two yellow cards arrived after the visitors had established their lead, while Saltham County continued to find routes forward and added three more goals.

The closing goal, scored by Raymond Lim in the 86th minute and assisted by Sebastien Joly, completed a performance whose main work had been done early and whose finish remained purposeful. Saltham County had fewer corners and dribbles, but more shots, more tackles and the goals that settle the matter. A 0-5 result leaves little need for forensic ambiguity: Saltham County were the sharper side, and Top Annyme City found no way to turn possession into danger.
