The sequence tells the story of a match that changed quickly and then kept changing. Belarmino Da Luz and Otto Lang had both scored by the 18th minute, and Belarmino Da Luz struck again immediately after the interval. David Thompson made it four in the 54th, while the late goals from Otto Lang and Belarmino Da Luz carried the total to seven. Vladimir Ivanov assisted four of the first five goals and another late effort, a steady supply line even with his name in the book.

For Whill United, the possession and corner counts offer little comfort against a 0 - 7 defeat: the only shot on target was not enough to trouble the scoreline, while the visitors’ 17 on target tell their own blunt story. Skesingfor did more than make the most of its chances; it created a great many of them and finished at a rate beyond its xG. Three yellow cards were the visitors’ only interruptions to an otherwise emphatic afternoon. The final margin was severe, and the balance of shots and chances suggests it was no statistical accident.
