The final 5-0 score is supported by the sequence of the game as much as by its totals: two goals in the first 11 minutes, a third by the 19th, and two more after the break. Worthe City kept the ball a little more often and completed passes at a slightly higher rate, but neither measure brought a shot, let alone a goal. Marton City, meanwhile, converted its pressure into five goals and kept the visitors’ chance count at almost nothing. The four yellow cards for Worthe City added friction to a difficult afternoon without changing its direction. In Division 3 League 3, Marton City’s decisive win was a reminder that possession can be neatly counted while the more important business happens elsewhere.
