Barrove Stanley had to respond after falling behind, and did so without allowing the early goal to dictate the afternoon. Marcelo Gonzalez levelled ten minutes after Mubarak Bakare opened the scoring; Zurab Chikhladze then put the hosts ahead before half-time. The decisive run came after the break: Gonzalez scored in the 57th minute, Correa added another three minutes later, and the margin continued to grow. Wesdon’s possession and passing accuracy were slightly higher, but neither statistic could compensate for the gulf in shots on target. The visitors’ five attempts on target might ordinarily support a more competitive scoreline; here, they were simply outnumbered by Barrove Stanley’s output.
