The scoreline gives Batlesh a clear two-goal win, though the route there was less comfortable on paper than the result suggests. Alton-Tew had the territorial edge, more than twice as many shots, and considerably more efforts on target, yet Batlesh found the net four times from its limited supply. The hosts also made eight tackles to the visitors’ four, while both sides committed 12 fouls; the contest was not short on effort, though the yellow cards fell three to one against Batlesh. After the visitors moved in front at 35 minutes, Batlesh answered with goals at 40 and 43, then added another at 58 to build a lead that held. Alton-Tew leave with the more imposing chance tally; Batlesh leave with the goals, which remain the least theoretical part of the afternoon.
