Soham City

• Bruno Rossi (7.0) - Scored the opener and assisted the second, making an influential contribution before the comeback erased the hosts’ advantage.

Ilforth

• Colin Montgomery (7.0) - Set up both goals in the visitors’ revival, providing the decisive service during the swing in momentum.

For Soham City, the opening half-hour offered a solid platform: two goals, a narrow possession edge and a far higher shot count. Yet the 3.67 xG makes the eventual defeat more frustrating than a simple shortage of chances would suggest. Ilforth had to recover from two down, and did so with three different scorers, two assists from Montgomery and a final goal from De Angelis. The visitors also committed more fouls and collected three yellow cards, but those costs did not prevent them from making their chances count. Soham City created more; Ilforth converted the contest into a 2-3 win.
