Oldon City led after Khadim Diakhate’s 34th-minute goal, but Dington Rangers turned the match around and won 3-1. The visitors’ 17 shots, eight corners and three second-half goals made the eventual scoreline feel less like a twist than a correction arriving in stages.

The opening goal belonged to Oldon City, but the match’s broader pattern favoured Dington Rangers. The visitors made more of their attacks reach the target, won the corner count comfortably and recorded more than twice as many tackles. Oldon City’s 17 fouls, against six for Dington Rangers, suggest a side doing considerable defensive work, though not always in the tidiest fashion; Stuart Mitchell saw the only card. The near-even possession and pass accuracy offer no story of one team simply monopolising the ball. Instead, Dington Rangers were more persistent in the areas that mattered, and their three goals after conceding settled a result that the chance count had been pointing toward.
