The possession split was almost even, and Fringtridle edged pass accuracy, but neither measure tells the whole story of a match in which Earke City found far more ways to test the goal. The hosts had the advantage at 55 minutes and the visitors had their first reply only two minutes later; from there, the comeback was built through repeated pressure rather than control of the ball. Fringtridle will have reason to regret letting the lead slip, while Earke City can take credit for continuing to create chances until the result finally caught up with them. The final score was 2-3, a narrow margin attached to a match whose shot count was anything but.
