For Backfier City, the second half brought no easing of the pressure: three more goals arrived after the break, including two further finishes from Miloš Popović. Southam Athletic did earn more corners and recorded nine dribbles to the hosts’ eight, but those numbers did not translate into a meaningful contest in front of goal. The visitors’ 11 fouls and three yellow cards also marked a difficult afternoon spent trying to interrupt a match that had already run away from them. With the goals, assists and shots all pointing in the same direction, the 12-0 result was not a narrow escape or a fortunate steal; it was a comprehensive win, with Backfier City finding the net often enough to make the usual measures of dominance feel almost modest.
