The two late goals gave Higgley Dew United something to carry forward, but they did not change the shape of the afternoon. Ambles United scored six, produced far more attempts and put most of those efforts on target; the 6-2 result reflected that command while also recording an unusually generous conversion rate against the xG estimate. It was a clear home win, with the visitors’ late response adding a footnote rather than a change of direction.
