For Colch United, Ivan Cvetković’s equaliser briefly restored parity after Pedro Chagas had opened the scoring, and the home side’s six shots on target show that it did not simply watch the match pass by. But parity on the scoreboard lasted until the closing stretch, when Jorge Alvez struck in the 88th minute and again in the 90th. Mardbur Town finished with five yellow cards to Colch United’s three, so the visitors’ afternoon was not exactly a model of serene administration; still, the goals arrived when they needed them. A 3-1 scoreline was a clear result, and the final minutes made sure the arithmetic had no lingering doubts.
