The draw leaves the most conspicuous question in the numbers with Rugham Park: a 4.42 xG return would usually invite more than two goals, and 16 shots on target make the gap especially notable. Bedon Town had 53% possession and the better pass accuracy, but its lower shot count and 2.43 xG suggest that control of the ball did not translate into the same attacking volume. Three yellow cards, two for the hosts, marked a match with some edge, though neither side was reduced to ten. In the end, Rugham Park 2 - 2 Bedon Town is a fair account of the goals and a rather less satisfying account of the hosts’ chances: the scoreboard recorded a draw, while the xG ledger has grounds for complaint.
