The report
The opening goal arrived in the 29th minute, when Daouda Mara finished a move assisted by Šefik Bajramović. Newpore United turned the match around before half-time: Eckhard Köhler levelled in the 37th minute, then Julio Cortes put the visitors ahead three minutes later, assisted by Eric Moreau. Tawlewcar had more of the attacking volume, but for a time the scoreboard preferred Newpore’s unusually efficient version of events.
Tawlewcar restored parity in the 52nd minute through Nicolas Fraser, then found the winner in the 84th: Bruno Blanchard finished, with Šefik Bajramović providing his second assist. The finish reflected a contest in which Tawlewcar kept producing attempts and tackles, while Newpore United made its limited shooting count. Seven yellow cards and no red cards added a steady administrative undertone; nobody was sent off, though the referee’s notebook had a busy afternoon.

Expected Goals (xG) Analysis: Tawlewcar scored three goals from 2.93 xG, a near-exact match between chance quality and the final tally. Newpore United scored twice from 0.83 xG, substantially outperforming its estimate: all three of its shots were on target, and two became goals. The 14-3 shot count and 10-3 shots-on-target count show the difference in attacking volume, while the visitors’ clinical spell made the game closer than the overall chance picture suggested. Possession was evenly split, but Tawlewcar created more and kept enough pressure on to turn that advantage into a late winner.
