Struggling season - Battling against the odds

Finishing in 8th place with 7 wins, 5 draws, and 10 losses, the team faced a season of ups and downs. Interestingly, this season was a story of resilience, with Fen managing to keep their goals for and against perfectly balanced at 48, resulting in a goal difference of zero. A season of football with its own unique story, Fen’s campaign was marked by moments of effort and perseverance amid a fiercely competitive environment.

Despite the difficulties, Fen showcased some promising individual performances and moments of teamwork. Their ability to score goals and contribute across the pitch kept them competitive in many fixtures, even if consistency proved elusive. The season highlighted areas for growth but also revealed the potential within the squad to build on for future campaigns.

• Top Scorer: Luis Ferreira with 7 goals
• Most Assists: Zdravko Lovrić with 7 assists

Fen’s season highlighted the need for greater consistency and defensive solidity. Balancing goals scored and conceded suggests defensive lapses or lapses in concentration at crucial moments. Improving team cohesion, tactical discipline, and perhaps squad depth could help turn close matches into wins and elevate their league standing in future seasons.

Fen’s Season 17 was a testament to perseverance amid adversity. The squad demonstrated resilience and individual talent, especially from key players like Ferreira, Schmidt, and Lovrić. However, inconsistency and defensive vulnerabilities hindered their ability to climb higher in the standings. With focused improvements in defensive organization and squad cohesion, Fen has the potential to transform these lessons into a more successful campaign next season.
